Hi, you can take camellia cuttings from august through to october, take a cutting with a heel, take off the lower leaves, dip the cutting in a hormone rooting compound, and put into a mix of 50/50 peat and sharp sand, and place in a propagator with a bottom heat of 65deg f, when rooted, pot them up and grow on until planting them out in the spring.
They are better done under a mist propagation unit, but I for one cannot afford one, best of luck, derekm
