Hi, We are building some decking and want to know how much space we need to comfortably fit a round 6 seater table and largish chairs

Answers

A minimum of 8 square FEET, and preferably 10 or 12 to allow for 6 people pushing their chairs back away from the table to get up and down, not sure how that works out in square metres.

If you set up the table with the chairs pulled out - as for seated guests - then you could mark a boundary round with string/ fine sand to give you a chance to measure the space you will need.

Do you mean a square 8 feet across, Bamboo?

Good point, Tugbrethil, I've not expressed what I mean correctly at all - I mean an area 8 x 8 x 8 x 8 square, or 8 feet long, 8 feet wide.

How do I say thanks?
