You might find some plants of winter sprouting broccoli and spring cabbage in garden centres which can be planted in late summer. There are also some winter salads for example.

Winter flowering heathers provide flower from late November to april if you choose a range of varieties.
Erica Carnea and Darleyensis are my favourites. Typw "winter flowering heather" into google images and you'll see a good range

You'll be in time to plant bulbs for a spring showing - snowdrops, crocuses, daffodils and tulips. There are not so many winter flowering plants to choose from, but there are winter pansies, winter cyclamen, hellebores and shrubs like forsythia and witch hazel. Others here will have further suggestions. Happy gardening!
