Cutting the new canes back to just over 5 foot. They will produce next year's raspberries as rasps fruit on 2nd year wood.

I had separated my canes last year and they fruited this year but my canes are definitely not taller than 4 feet. Shall I cut them or not?

If they have fruited yes cut them out and tie in the new canes that have grown this year.

When you've picked all the fruit, cut the fruited canes back to the base and tie in the new canes.
