Could someone pleasetell me if my honeysuckle has powdery mildew?
If so, can it be treated?
If the leaves need removing, do I throw them away with general waste rather than in the compost?
Any advice welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Hosing down the plant early in the morning kills the young fungus threads when they start out of the spore. It is one of the few fungi that dislike free water when germinating.

Actually, Alex, the picture appears to be of a Pea of some kind.

I realised when I got out there to prune that it was an old sweet pea that was dying off. I have removed the sweet pea that was clinging to the honeysuckle which caused the mistake.
The affected plant has been removed. After looking at it 90% of the plant was affected.

« When do I cut back my raspberry canes. They have now stopped fruiting.
Mine has this, give it a prune, get rid of the leaves, not on the compost, and hopefully it will sprout some new leaves that are free from this.
