We have a standard wisteria in a large pot. Last year it lost it's leaves in the summer rather than the autumn. At the end of last year I put it into a larger pot. This year it flowered in spring but has just lost it's leaves in July. Any idea why?

I have a Wisteria in a pot and I continue to water and feed it right through the summer, especially if it is hot weather. Even in the autumn if it needs a drink it gets one.

Drought - insufficient watering I'm afraid. A large plant like that in a pot will need watering during hot spells every other day, a good gallon or so, and once a week in cooler, wet spells. Rain is no good to it at all, insufficient amounts will get into the pot.
