Maybe a penstemon? A bit like p.Alice Hindley, but not sure, really.

It looks to me like an Agastache, maybe 'Firebird'?

The pink flowers turn to orange,as you will see, when they are dying off, if that helps ....maybe I should take a close up of the flower ?

Yes, edit this question and add the picture under the one above.
I don't think it's an Agastache Tug because the flowers are too widely spaced.

Hmm, those leaves do look like an Agastache leaf, i apologise to Tug.
The flower looks like a Penstemon flower though - let's wait and see who can shed more light on it.

It actually looks to me like it has orange buds opening to pink flowers, which is also consistent with many of the Agastache hybrids. Note that flower spikes of many species are more open in part shade than those growing in full sun.

I was just thinking that the flowers did look like Penstemon.,Louise...but they are smaller..and I have forgotten what the foliage looks like,as I lost mine this year..yes,I thinkyou are right,we will wait till we get another comment..:o)

I think you could be right,Tugbrethil..about it being the other way round,and the buds starting off orange..you are much more observant than me..:o)..and this plant does have more open flowers on the shady side..so you think it is more than likely,an Agastache?

Hi Bloomer ... could it be Agastache 'Apricot Sunset' ... looks very similar.

I haven't a clue,Shirley..have you got this one ? I don't know anything about Agastaches ..

Neither doI, Sandra, I Googled "images of agastache apricot sunset" and thought it looked very similar. Give it a try and see what you think. :o))

I've been following this thread as I didn't have a clue what the plant is. I google "Agastache apricot sunrise" first by mistake, then "Agastache apricot sunset" but they both have orange flowers.
I did find an agastache with orange buds and pink flowers though.
My money is on Agastache "Acapulco Salmon & Pink" :-) Hope this helps
