I have a lovely fushia, bought this year, it has been in flower all season however this week it started wilting, I thought it was lacking water, however it has been watered, not too much, soil just kept damp, but still the leaves and flowers all are looking very sad any ideas.

Have you had hot days? Fuschias can droop in the heat. Water it well after the sun is off it and give the leaves a spray, too. It should be fine.

Thats what I thought, but it has been watered, we have had rain, its been a couple of days now, usually after a good water it is looking revived but not this time still looking extremely sad.

In that case, it could be something bothering the plant, maybe at root level. If you have examined it for any sign of attack on the leaves and you don't find anything, then the problem could be at the roots.
I don't know enough about what that might be or what treatment is best, but there are lots of people here who will be able to help.

PS- Could it be overwatering that is the problem? If you've been watering and there has been rain, then maybe the soil is waterlogged? Rest it for a while to see if that helps. If it is on a pot, shift it to a shady place and let it get dry to see if that helps.

Vine weevils love fuchsias - if it's in a pot, knock it out and look for fat white grubs with orange heads. If it's in the ground you could have a little, careful investigation and see if the roots look OK.
