Has anyone found a good source of allocasia or callocasi with black leaves?

I believe there is one called Black Knight (or similar)

OK, the full botanical name of the plant you are look for is colocasia esculenta 'Black Magic'. If you go to the RHS website www.rhs.org.uk, click on the Plants tab to go on to Plant Finder and type in this name, you will find about 30 suppliers, many of whom offer mail order

Just a word Bedgar. It is VERY difficult to grow. I am really into exotics but I have lost 3 of these over the years in winter as a house plant. The C. esculenta is not a lot of problems but a slight draft for an hour seems to kill this one. Good luck. If Andrew has any tips for Yorkshire I would be pleased.

No tips, sorry. I've not tried growing it but I did notice that even Christopher Lloyd said it was tricky!
