Sweet Pea's- This is only the second time I've grown these and got a really good flush of perfumed blooms from them... I can't recall though what to do when their finished. Do I just bin the seasons growth and leave the roots for next year?

But do leave the roots in - they won't grow again but the fix nitrogen from the atmosphere and store it in little nodules on the roots, so they have made you some fertiizer! (same with peas and beans)

I'm glad there are a few others who belong to my club, too ---'The Forgetfuls'!! What a good idea this sight is, as it keeps reminding us what we've forgotten to do in the garden!! Annie
