New house and unusual weed I've never seen before and it is fast and freely growing everywhere. It looks like clover shaped leaves which are burgundy in colour. The flowers on them are tiny yellow and quite pretty but it spreads very quickly. Don't have a photo at the moment as I've blitzed the garden. Does anyone know what it is?

sounds like Oxalis and this spreads like wildfire, don't let it get to the seed stage cos as you pull it up the pods ping open and shoot seed everywhere!!!! Also get the roots out as they are quite deep. I have this stuff and pretty as it is , it is also very annoying grrr :/

Get rid of it if you can. Don't be fooled into thinking it's pretty unless you want it everywhere. I speak from experience. I think I even admired it in someone else's garden!

And I was fool to plant it on purpose! 10 years on and a change of address and I still have it popping up here and there.

I keep finding it in my garden this year - I think one of my neighbours must be cultivating it :-(

I didn't realise it could follow you to a new house! That is a clever weed.

Well I did hire a separate van to bring all my plants, so it was probably stowing away in one or two of the pots. Or it may have run behind the van...
