No name plant

Hi, I found this plant thrown out onto the street and bought it home as I thought it was lovely, it has some browing on the leaves but I'm not sure of what to do as I can't identify the plant. It's very tall and each cluster has 5-6 leaves radiating from the middle, the stems at the bottom are plaited in a decorative way . I'd be very grateful if someone could help me name it.
Many thanks

I think you're right, I've just looked at some photos and it seems to fit, now I can start giving it some TLC.
Thank you so much.

Hi Vine,
This looks like an Umbrella tree (Schefflera Amata). Needs plenty of warmth and some moisture.

Freebie plants, the best by far.
Would it take to prunning? It looks like it would if it was chopped back low to let a new shoot develop.

Hi there
I don't know if this is right but it looks like a 'Plaited Plant' Pachira aquatica. A friend of mine had one and the trunks were actually plaited up to the new growth but then it seemed to do its own thing. It was a lot bushier though but maybe this poor thing hasn't been wanted if it's been thrown out.
I hope this helps.
