I am in the process, with friends of digging up a rhododendron, 5 foot. can anyone tell me if they have tap roots, or do they just spread out. it is in a confined space in the garden and hard to get at. it would help if we new what we were dealing with. many thanks to all if you can help.

rhododendron has a compact root system so digging it up should be easy if there are two of you
