Oh dear - another ID question to tax your brains! ;-)
I spotted this very pretty plant in an open garden this afternoon. It was just over a foot tall, and was coming to the end of its flowering period. It must have had a number of flowers, judging by the seed heads. The photo colour isn't quite right - it was a deeper cerise.
I'm sure it was a perennial, not an annual.
I do hope that someone can tell me its name please?

No - the flowers are smaller and in clusters, Nickt. Thanks for the thought, though.

Not sure which leaf goes with the flower so my first thought was a Geranium? but could it possibly be a Pink Plumbago?

I think this is it, don't you? I was off-beam thinking it was a perennial, but the garden didn't have any other annuals at all. Now I shall try to grow some.

Well I never...It is a catchfly, There are a few of them. I have only just started to appreciate how beautiful some wild flowers are. The leaves threw me.

And me! I have several Silenes in my garden, and it's not like any of them. Pretty, isn't it. :-)

Glad you know what it is now Spritz - I didnt recognise the green leaves as Silene lol.

No - it didn't even cross my mind that it might be a Silene! I'm pleased I know, though. :-))
