Best time to plant out star jasmine?
By Kmt
United Kingdom
I've just bought a mature plant from crocus nurseries - it's already about 4ft tall, and I have a site I'd like to plant it out in our south facing garden. My query is, should I wait till all danger of frost has passed before planting, and should I put it in a pot rather than in the ground? I'm not much of a gardener, so don't know much about our soil type etc... Any tips much appreciated! Thanks

I would let the soil warm up a bit more, just maybe into mid-march depending where you are in the UK of course. They are happy in the ground as they grow quite tall.
