I have two Lavender officinalis Standards (well that's what it said on the label). They do not have the same foliage as normal Lavender. They have grown out of shape and I want to cut them back but where to stop. They have only a couple of flowers at the end of leaf stems (not the usual long stalk)
Any advice please?

Clip them over, taking about an inch or two maximum of the foliage. Do that after every main flowering to keep the bush shaped - lavenders will not regrow from old wood.
