I have collected some perennial sweet pea pods from my daughter's garden. What is the best way to sow these seeds, do I dry them out and sow or open the pods and sow straight away? I live in Kent.

you need to collect the pods as they are just going brown. the seed will be dry by then. you can either sow them now and put the in pots outside over winter. or you can sow then in January/february.

The pods need to be ripe, so that the seeds inside are too - which means you may have collected them a bit too soon. Mine are still green!
