leek problem

harvesting my leeks this year there was a small what seemed to be a small red maggot type thing red in colour any one now what this is and a cure please

Good point!. Baby worms would love to live in any tunnels left by other invaders, protected and moist.

Interesting. Onion fly has a white maggot and Leek moth has a yellowy/green one. I can find no references to a red maggot in Leeks, yet.
