going to get rid of my annuals from pots today..can I put them on the compost heap or not...can you put roots of anthing in a composter?

Answers

Yes my annual/bedding goes in the compost and their chopped up roots, the spent compost from baskets and pots goes on the garden. I do not put seeds/weeds in my compost. Roots of shrubs and anything woody is a no as it will not rot down for you.

Kate, if they've set seed, you could collect that in envelopes first! :-)
