If you live where bougies grow outside over winter, Max, you can take hardwood cuttings about 1/2 to 1 inch thick now, take off any leaves, plant them with rooting hormone powder in a fast draining mix, and keep them moist and in the shade. By the time it starts to get chilly, at least some should be starting to sprout leaves, indicating that they have started roots. Move them to a sunny, frost protected area over the winter, and then plant out (carefully) in the spring.

It,s a bit late for summer cuttings now, but you can take cuttings in january of pieces of dormant shoots, and put in a propagator with a temperature of 64deg f,derekm
