It looks like an Astilbe.

the leaf does but the flowers on mine are much smaller and more delicate. could it be a dwarf filependula?

This flowerhead is quite small Sbg....from top down is around 2".
I've had a look on google and the leaves of the astilbe look right.

I was meaning the individual flowers seem too large compared to the ones on my astilbes, rather than the flower spike. But if its an astilbe then that is what it is. :o)
