A few months ago we put a wildlife pond in our garden but due to illness have not planted it up yet, are we to late to do so this year, our pond is lovely and clear only filled with rainwater, please can you advise,

As a lot of aquatic plants are split and divided in the Autumn, I would think there should be a fair few things you could plant now. Water lilies, Iris and such. Don't forget the oxygenating plants. A good Garden Centre with an Aquatic section should be able to advise.
