can anyone tell me how and when to prune my prostrate osteospermium?.

any good leafy bits can then be used as cuttings. use a gritty compost and gentle heat and they should root easily. plants for free too cant be bad. :o)

I cut my osteospernum down to a bud joint just above the ground and they start sprouting from there. I did this yesterday and gave a good mulch of home made compost for protection. Just as well as it started snowing here about an hour ago.

It does need a bit of trimming otherwise it grows too much sideways and is gappy in the middle. As long as you can see little buds further down the shoot, it should be fine.

Well I would think anytime now Mary.....is it in a sheltered spot? Give it a good snip and a re-shape, it should start budding up from the middle again then.
