Any one know why my rhodadendrum is getting yellow leaves?
planted in shade in damp soil
leaves have just started about a week ago

Is the soil acid? If it isn't, that's why. You could try watering it with sequestrene.

Unless you only recently planted it? Alkaline soil will produce chlorotic leaves, but it won't be that if you haven't long planted it.
