I agree with the above comment..I still get the odd ones in my pots,and they are stood on a gravelled area..so if they are determined enough to do that,you will still get them...a daily inspection is necessary..and dispose as you think fit...

It will certainly slow them down, but it will also make the border difficult to weed and plant and mulch?
