I'm pretty sure that's a Calathea zebrina. It needs high humidity, so place the plant on a saucer of pebbles with water in it. Mist the plant regularly, too. It needs a temperature of no lower than 60 degrees F. Not in direct sun, but light conditions.

it was doing really well in the front office at work where it gets so hot and humid so i brought it home to repot it, i'll take it back monday and it will be happy again!
i've got it one pot then pebbles in the bottom of the ceramic plant pot it's in :)
