Why does my pyracantha not have any berries?

Sadly, it didn't really flower. Maybe only a couple of flowers.

That's the reason for no berries, then, so why didn't it flower? Did you prune it at the wrong time maybe?

I cannot remember when it was pruned or even if it was pruned. Is there anything we can do to revive it?

leave it unpruned this spring and then you should have more flowers next spring/summer and then berries in the autumn.

I think you must have pruned Helen. I noticed yesterday how spectacular pyracantha's are looking this year.

Than you for your help.
I will leave it be and see how it is next Spring and then the Autumn.
I agree that pyracanthas are looking great this year and it is a shame it's not ours.

We leave our pruning on pyracantha until after it flowers and then I snip it with the garden shears or secateurs because i have it growing against a wall. In the autumn when the berries start to look good I cut off any excess of growth so we can enjoy the berries. I planted a long hedge of pyracantha for my daughter. Because it is beside a footpath I take the battery hedge cutter to it. I did it at the beginning of September. It has lots of berries on it and if I hit one or two bunches by mistake it doesn't matter.
