Can anyone please identify this Ligularia? A friend has just given me a clump of it, and I'd like to know which one it is. It's still in flower, just about!

I think it's a very good shot, Dgw. The leaves and height are right, the google photos of the flowers aren't 100% the same, but there's nothing else that comes anywhere near, so I reckon you've hit it. Thank you very much. :-))

I have L. przewalskii - agree this is what it is. The leaves on mine don't look as large tho and certainly not as healthy.

Mine havent been nibbled but look tired but never looked this healthy all summer, probably due to poor soil and too sunny a position. On pond edge in clay, must feed it next Spring.

I already have the 'usual' Ligularia przewalskii on the stream bank - it's about four years old now. It has taller, more slender flowers than this one. I haven't had any snail trouble with it, thank goodness. The flowers on that plant finished about a month ago. I was so pleased when L. asked me if I'd like a piece of hers. I got it planted this afternoon. I do hope it 'takes'.
