Plant ID Please... not sure but i think its a tobacco plant of sorts i remember buying it 4/5 years ago but i have not seen it flower for 2/3 until now. many thanks ;-)

I thought penstamon on first looking at it. Are they of the same family as Phygelius rectus? Bamboo.

Thanks Ojibway93/Bamboo.... lots of bells ringing for penstemon im pretty sure thats what it is, i dont know what made me think tobacco plant maybe the flower heads... Bigger thanks again. paul ;-)

Same family yes, Scrophulariaceae - doesn't trip lightly off the tongue, that one, lol!

Yea, I was going to reiterate, Meanie - Windy65, it's PHYGELIUS not Penstemon. Penstemons are often not entirely hardy, Phygelius comes through anything and can be invasive. I hope you've understood it this time, I don't know how I can be any clearer.

yes it is phygelius, the flared edging of the trumpet is characteristic of this plant.
