ID please.
I asked what this was in the Summer when it was smaller, but nobody seemed to have a definitive answer.
The plant has grown a lot and bcome bushier, and is now getting ready to flower, so I thought I would try again.

Is it a plant or a weed?
I don't mean weed as in plant in the wrong plcae, I mean is it a pest or will it behave?

I have just had a look on google and your ID seems to be spot on.
Thanks again.

It'll keel over in the winter, Alex...

It's a lovely plant. It's rather tender but technically a perennial. Grows easily from seed (big black things - you won't miss them when they appear) and the plants also produce a tuberous root that you could try digging up at the beginning of winter, store frost free and start into growth again in spring (treat it like a dahlia tuber).
They also come in eye-popping pink, yellow, splashed and striped with colour.

I will dig it up and colelct the seeds. May try and grow some in any large bare patches that I have trouble growing other things in.
