Are gerberas annuals or perennials?
If perennials, shoudl they be overwintered indoors or greenhouse?
If annuals, when should the seeds be planted?

Thank you Bamboo and Pajo for your help. I will try to overwinter, and also collect the seeds.

I think it depends where you live and what variety they are - people in the west of the country assure me they come through the winter and are perennial, but I've never had one survive yet here in London.
Just checked my book - they're half hardy or tender, but may survive in the west of the country. Sow seed under glass early spring, though you might overwinter by keeping indoors.
