I bought the prettiest climbing rose on a local market. It's called "Pierre de Ronsard" and at the moment it's got the bit between it's teeth and is growing (still) a mile a minute up a south facing stone wall. Is now a good time of year to try taking cuttings? We probably have a month left of relatively (to the UK) warm weather. Any useful tips? I've never attempted rose cuttings before.

That's what I have been doing this afternoon! - bits of rose stuck in all round the garden and with other cuttings. Fingers crossed!
