I have lots of walnut leaves which I compost down, but I am beginning to wonder if they are toxic to any plants when used as a mulch, or when incorporated as a "feed."
Any ideas, please?

Assuming you're composting the walnut leaves properly, mixed with other leaves as well, the toxic contents degrade in air, light and water within 2-4 weeks, so unless you're chopping them up in a shredder and immediately applying them to the base of plants, there shouldn't be a problem.

Many thanks, as I leave the leaves composting for 12 months I guess there is no problem.
