How far apart to plant violas?
I have succumbed to buying some trays of violas at the supermarket, in those typical 2/3 inch cells. How far apart should I space them? On the pack it says to space them really wide but isn't it now too late in the year for them to spread out?
Thanks.

I plant mine in clumps of 3 or 5, fairly closely packed together. Like Spritz I think they look a bit forlorn in singles and put on a better show in clumps.

Agree with above. Violas look great close together.

LOL. At least you know how to do it when you get round to it!

I certainly don't space them widely - they look sparse. I plant them with a small space for some growth between them - about an inch.
