to anyone that followed the question about growing flowers from seed in the philippines .....im very happy to tell you that after reading up (if anyones interested...the philippines has a large cut flower export business and grows gladioli (using cold storage),chrysanthemum,aster,sampaguita,heleconias,carnation,lilium,statice and roses all over the philippines from batangus to cebu to negros davao,cdo,zamboanga

Lovely to hear it - now you have some idea of the plants that will grow there. I'd still be very careful about introducing plants that self seed vigorously though.
