will lupins flower this year

I bought some lupins in packets, the kind which come in bags of peat and are quite cheap. I am just wondering whether anyone could tell me if this kind of plant tends to flower in the same year or the year after planting. Thanks!

providing you look after them they should. though they will be small and probably only have 1 flower. but expect much more next year. :o)
