I would like to thank everyone who answered my questions re dahlias and mums. I believe the mums are not all annuals. I have also been told to put the dahlias in a polystyrene box to protect them. Does anyone know if that is good or bad? Kerri

Kerri, if you'd added this under your original question, the people who answered you before would have been sure to see it because they get notified that something's been added. As it stands, I had to click on your profile and select your previous question to read it all, and then come back to here, so in future, please add your response underneath the others, as if you're answering yourself, when its on the same subject.
I think you'll see you were given advice about how to store the dahlia tubers previously - other options to store them are in part sand part compost mix in a pot. You need to keep them frost free, dry enough not to rot, but not so dry that they shrivel up.
