Distinctive leaf

This seems to be such a distinctive leaf shape that I'm hoping someone will be able to identify the plant for me, fingers crossed!

If it's Paeonia it will have large showy flowers about 10cm across. If it's Dicentra it will have sprays of pendant heart shaped flowers. I think the Ref's too busy in his greenhouse at the moment.

That is a Peony you will find it in the book under Paeonia Mine are only just starting to unfurl there is the tree peony or the perennial peony. Newly planted ones may take several years to establish and flower. They resent root disturbance, but once settled in provide a reliable show for 50 years.
