Hi! I potted up tulip bulbs a few weeks ago and already they are sprouting! I feel the pot may not be deep enough.Should I leave them outside or bring them inside for fear of frost destroying the new growth?

You could always put a layer of mulch across the top of the pot, but as Beattie says with this mild autumn lots of bulbs are coming through.

Good luck Meadowland. It's said best not to plant tulip bulbs until November when its colder.

Sorry guys we plant tulips in September in our garden - depends where you live!

Mine are still waiting for me to take Fucshia Southgate out of its urn, it is still so beautiful. It will have to be done in the next few days though so I am hardening my heart.

They'll be fine Meadowland. It's not uncommon for spring bulbs to start growing in autumn, they'll slow down as it gets colder. Don't worry about them - they'll be OK outside.
