Yes, it's getting late for this year, but if you need to move it, first dig out a large hole to receive it when replanting. Dig out a trench away from the roots, dig underneath. Work a piece of tarpaulin underneath, with 4 people, carry it to the new place. Fill in with plenty of compost, water in.

We have just planted a row of beech whips, how long will it be before it is a thick hedge? We only want it to grow about 4 foot high. At the moment they are very small, about 1.5 feet high and 1 foot apart. Thank you.
