I want to know what this plant is.

It grows to about three feet tall, with long stems that have a series of pompom-like, deep pink flowers that grow along the length of the stems. It's as though each stem comes out of a pompom and grows on to come out of another pompom then another - as though the stems are lines of these flower heads, stringing together a length of four or five flowes. Really interesting. Big plant, too!

Wow! that's fast! I've not got a photo I'm sorry to say, but I will have a gander at Monarda photos and check it out. thanks so much.

Had a browse of some online photos, and it's looking a bit hopeful for a type of Monarda, Sprtizhenry. The flowers on mine were a bit more spaced apart. I've dug-up last years rootballs and transplanted them - I hoope they survive so that i can photo them - they are quite lovely!
