Do you cut the passion flower climber back after it as flowered in it's first year

A Passiflora caerulea (blue passion Flower)
..we have one that went really well last year and are left with what looks like a dead climber.we don't know what to do with it. any suggestions.

From Passionflow.co.uk. Leave the plant looking messy over winter & prune only after growth has restarted. Even then always leave some long straggly bits. When pruning never cut hard to the main stems. Never prune late in the season.

i too have one of these bought it from a garden center in 2010 in full bloom we planted it in a bigger pot with new soil it was going great guns all summer and now this year may 2011 nothing looks dead to the world do i leave it repot or prune it?
