Does anyone know what kind of tree this is?

It's a beautiful old tree, hasn't been shaped or cared for in years. I just moved here in November and since Spring is finally here, I would like some help identifying it and pruning it correctly. Thank you for your help!

I would rather you asked this question again when there are leaves and flowers on the tree - it will be much easier.
