It's too late now. The best time is from about the end of summer to mid or late autumn when the soil is still warm and wet and ideal conditions for good seed germination.

If you can't wait that long, then you could try sowing the seeds about May but you will need to water it a lot.

If you live in the south or west, you can sow it in April - even late March if the weather is mild.

And if you miss April then September is the other option.
