I have three evergreens in my garden and im trying to find out theirnames. If i could take a photo of the leaf would you be able to tell me exactly?
There is another one and my mother is sure its called "Von Vandenberg" is there such a plant if so could you confirm?
I hope you can help me finding answers to my problem.
Kind regards

Yep, I agree, the leaves are very glossy. I don't recognise any other plant that has leaves as glossy as that....... I do know that hollies usually need to be very mature (ie 10 years old) before they flower and produce berries. Have there been any berries this last autumn?

The hollies without prickly leaves are usually Ilex x altaclerensis (then a name). Try googling them.

Are the leaves slightly puckered if so it could be the Holly (Ilex Aquafolium ( Golden Van Tol ) Dark Green leaves with a golden yellow Margin ( female) There are so many variations it is difficult to put a name. Might have one or two marginal spiny teeth.

Unless you have a male holly nearby there will not be any berries

I have an Ilex Aquifolium 'Silver van Tol'. The leaves are the same shape but are a lighter green with white edges. It is self fertile and so has berries without there being a nearby mate.
