I was taking a picture of a wren in one of my pots and notice how withered the spring plants had become. I zoomed in and noticed the leaves had white tunnel marks on them. Do I need to report this as it says on the web

You will notice in the third picture the wren does have something in her bill..

Thanks Moon_growe,
Thanks for the advice, if it was deemed necessary I was going to let the the Jersey nursery that I purchased them from know.
Once again thank you.

Winter flowering pansies tend to look a little scruffy at this time of year. MG

Gorgeous photo`s Tommy, they deserve a place on the main blogs page or even on Ispyabird, whatever is lurking on the plants is obviously to the wrens liking...

Thank you Lincslass, Have added to my photo and to Ispyabird. The wren is more than welcome to carry on eating but will do a little wren blog as long as people do not get bored with my photos.

It's a beautiful and common little bird and because of its habits is not often seen by us. we will not get bored!

Reporting to DEFRA would only be necessary in a commercial/farming situation. Most of us have plants damaged by leaf miners nothing to panic about. In your case I'm not even sure that there are leaf miners on the leaves.
