Is it ok to remove garden fleece from my zanteshia lilies in pots and also do you need more than one pear tree to produce fruit for pollination as i have received one as a present and think i should by a few

Pears - the variety Conference is partly self-fertile but all other varieties need a pollinator. As long as the flowering periods overlap, cross-pollination will occur although in a cold spring, there may be a lack of insects and you will need to do it yourself with a small artist's paintbrush

I have put mine against the house wall just to keep any light frost off them , I have the fleece handy but they will be fine I am sure .
