I want a plant that can be planted above human ashes from the crematorium. I would like it to flourish in a large garden tub. (I have a wooden one.) Thankyou for your help.

Just about any shrub you choose will be fine. It is down to what you like. Just mix the ashes up with your soil/compost.

Notethat you will need at least 10 parts compost for every part of ashes.

Which season would you like your shrub to show its best ... A rose maybe, for summer flowers, or an ornamental dwarf cherry, for spring, or at the other end of the season one of the enkianthas for autumn foliage? An acer will also delight during the growing season - some start with lime green leaves, turning purple, and they all have lovely autumn colour.

How do I say thanks?
