climbing hydrangea

United Kingdom

I have recently purchased a couple of climbing hydrangeas as I have a 30` red brick wall to start to cover. Can you any suggest the best form of starting the hydrangeas off. I know they are self clingers and they are in 3ltr pots. Unfortunately there is no earth in front of the wall. How much bigger pot should I replant them in ? I probably should have bought more plants. Also the wall is north facing and would be pleased if anyone could make a suggestion of any other vigorous climbers. Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks

you will need to have a big a pot as you can fit in the space. If you want it to climb very high it will take a lot of feeding and watering as it can be a greedy plant. is there no soil even a few feet away ie in the lawn? that would be a better solution.
