I came in to my room to find that the budgies had eaten a huge chunk out of my amaryllis bud.

Will the bud open, and if so, will the flower be disfigured now?

Little monkies! I expect it will flower, albeit lopsided. You will just have to wait and see. At least its not the wallpaper - our cockatiel ate a huge chunk of that.

They certainly are mischievous. I had to call the vet, as they are listed as toxic to budgies, but they said there was little they could do if it had been ingeted. I was told to keep an eye on them and ring the vets if they became ill.

They seem alright, but I will continue to keep an eye on them.

Yes the flower should open but it will lack that certain something! Hopefully the plant is where it is just for the photo? If not it will be happier away from the radiator. Hope your budgies are none the worse.

Steragram, yes the plant i not near the radiator, and th budgies don't seem any worse for wear, but I am still on edge watching them.

They should be fine, and I will be able to tell within the next couple of days hopefully.
